You're Invited!

Come Join Us for an Easter Egg Hunt on Good Friday with a Pot-Luck!

Schedule:
4:00pm – hiding of the eggs
5:30pm – egg hunt
6:00pm – pot luck

Location:
Golden Key Park – it has to be more than just cold to keep us from the hunt – we will have to have snow, rain, or temps below 40 if the weather goes sour we would try to go to the Church.

Who is invited? Anyone with or without kids.

Kid Egg Hunt Rules:
For anyone that wants to participate we will be hiding eggs at 3:30pm. No kids are allowed to be at the Park until 5:30pm. Why? Because they know where the eggs are! Please don’t bring them. If you can't leave them behind then we can help hide them for you. We will start finding the eggs at 5pm. For every egg you bring you are able to find one. It will be community eggs once they are put out. So if you bring 5 eggs then you should only let your kids find 5. Those five may not be the ones you purchased. There is not a limit on the amount of eggs you can bring but I would suggest that you do 15 eggs. If you are not able to hide them you may contact either Susan Dannenberg (303-725-6630) or Pat Dannenberg (303-946-7976) and drop off eggs with us so we can take them to be hidden.

The Adult Egg:
So there has been some thought about an Adult Egg Hunt. Might be a fun tradition to start. The “Golden Egg” currently is going to have a receipt in it for a $10 credit to Wendy’s. Not a bad start but if somebody else wants to make a contribution to put in the egg that would be awesome. Now this won’t of course be your normal hidden egg. It has to of course come with some challenge to find. If you are interested in making a contribution to the Egg please let Pat Dannenberg know (303-946-7976,pat.dberg@denverboyscouts.org).

Pot-Luck:
No assignments are being made on the food. If everyone brings vegetables then we are eating like the Easter Bunny. I am sure we are going to have some mix of foods though. Remember the safe rule for any Pot-Luck is that you bring enough portions that will feed 8 people for that item.

RSVP?
Please tell us you are coming by sending an email to either Susan or Pat at pat.dberg@gmail.com or tenorcrazy@hotmail.com.

Granted nobody has volunteered to dress up as the Easter Bunny but if somebody wants to go and get the suit then let us know because that would be hilarious.

Cherry Creek State Park

Cherry Creek Beach!!

We had a great time at the Cherry Creek Reservoir today! It was a nice walk & the weather was great. Here is an aerial picture of what it looks like & we were at the small beach area you can see on the bottom left hand side. There is a spot right there that has been blocked off for swimming & the watter is about 2 feet deep for at least 5 feet out from the shore-line. There were a few picnic tables under some big shady trees & there was even a small playground. The kids had a blast!! I will definitely be taking my family back many times in the future & there is already rumor of another trip next Tuesday if you didn't get to come along today. We'd sure love to have you!!
